Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What must be submitted with my visa
application form and supporting documents?
A: 1 photograph, copy of NADRA N.I.C, passport and one photocopy of
passport
Q: Why do I need to provide supporting documents with my application?
A: UK immigration rules state that it is up to you to satisfy the
visa officer that you qualify for a visa. It is vital that you send
the correct original documents with your application. If you do not
send the required documents, the visa officer will refuse your application.
Q: What sort of documents do I have to show?
A: Everyone's circumstances are different. It is up to you what documents
you chose to submit. It is your responsibility to make sure that you
have read the information available on the UK
Border Agency Visa Services website on the visa category you want
to apply for. We appreciate that it may not always be possible for
you to provide these kinds of documents, but please be aware that
it will help the visa officer make the decision on your application.
Please make sure that you include all supporting documents with your
application, and do not send or fax any papers separately. You should
take photocopies of your original supporting documents and submit
the originals and photocopies with your application.
Q: Are there any documents that I do not need to submit?
A: Please do not submit credit cards, or original airline tickets.
You are strongly advised not make your travel arrangements before
you have received your visa.
Q: How can I pay my visa fee?
A: You can pay by demand draft or cash at the bank counter in the
visa application centre.
Q: How long will it take to process my application?
A: Please see the 'guide to processing times'
page on this website. Please note: the processing times given are
from the date you submit your biometric data.
Q: Do I have to submit my visa application in person?
A: Yes, all applicants over the age of 5 years must attend a visa
application centre to submit their application, supporting documents
and biometric data.
Q: Where are all the applications processed?
A: Some elements of the visa application may be sent overseas for
processing.
Q: If I am called for an interview, where will it be?
A: All interviews take place at the UK Border Agency at the British
High Commission in Islamabad.
Q: What do I need to collect my passport?
A: You need to bring your original receipt and your NADRA NIC.
